The Republic of Kazakhstan, also known as Kazakhstan, is a landlocked country in Central Asia and the largest landlocked country in the world.
The country's name comes from its most important ethnic group, the Kazakh nationality. It borders Russia to the north, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan to the south, the Aral Sea to the west and China to the east.
Kazakhstan is a country between Asia and Europe. Its territory includes the northern part of Central Asia and the south-eastern part of Eastern Europe. The main cities of Kazakhstan, Almaty, Karagandy and Urals are also famous tourist cities.
